A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Investment Delivery Customer Liaison Officer to join our team.

The key responsibilities of the role will be to assist and support the Investment Delivery team by providing an effective and efficient tenant liaison function, being required to liaise with residents about planned investment work being undertaken on their property.

You will also support Contract Management compliance in relation to delivery of the investment, energy efficiency and zero carbon programmes.

What are we looking for?

Construction Related Degree or other recognised higher education qualification in Building and or Construction (HNC/D) related subject with project management experience.

Contract Management skills to ensure that contracts are delivered within the agreed timescales, budget and quality standards – Knowledge of contractual obligations, i.e. JCT Intermediate contracts & procurement processes.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, architects, local authority representatives, councillors.

Excellent financial and budget management skills to ensure that contracts are delivered on budget and value for money is achieved;

Building surveying skills to identify building defects and appropriate remedial action in accordance with the relevant Building Standards and regulations; Recognising age (life cycles) condition of component parts; awareness around appropriate materials / specifications including sustainable alternatives.

The Role

As Project Coordinator/RLO, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of construction refurbishment and planned works projects from inception through to completion. About You

You'll have excellent administrative and coordination skills, with the ability to oversee multiple trackers, manage a high volume of bookings across different clients, and ensure all project information remains accurate and up to date.

A professional and friendly telephone manner is essential, as you'll regularly liaise with clients, subcontractors, residents and internal stakeholders. You'll be a strong communicator who can build effective working relationships and provide clear, timely updates to site teams and project stakeholders whenever required.

Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Resident Liaison Officer or similar role is desirable, ideally within construction, planned works, property services or social housing environments. As a Property Services Officer, you will be required to attend various locations/properties to inspect, diagnose, produce technical surveys, specifications and raise works orders for repairs and maintenance. You will need to obtain quotations and estimates in line with South Yorkshire Housing Association’s Financial Framework whilst showing Value for Money. You will provide advice to other staff members and Residents with regarding Repairs and Maintenance issues.

As part of your role, you will also be expected to record and collate accurate information onto South Yorkshire Housing Association’s IT system. Beyond resolving complaints, you'll use complaint trends and customer feedback to identify recurring issues, highlight opportunities for improvement and ensure the customer voice influences decision-making across the business. Working closely with teams throughout bdht, you'll help turn customer experiences into actionable insight that improves services for everyone.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in a customer-facing role who is confident handling complex enquiries and complaints and can demonstrate excellent communication, investigation and problem-solving skills.

You will be calm under pressure, highly organised and able to manage a varied workload while maintaining attention to detail. You will have the confidence to challenge where appropriate, build positive working relationships and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels.

Experience within the social housing sector and knowledge of housing legislation would be beneficial, although not essential.
